BOCA POST: This post will seem like the old movie, The Perils of Pauline...I had a flare-up of a stress-induced esophagus problem and landed me in Emergency for 10 hours. At 82 I have had my first Cat-scan..which was fine. But I left with a list of the only food intake I could have for 3 days... clear juices...tea..broth..jello..and popsicles. Finally, I was allowed a half cup of rice..and then a baked potato!..So delicious! Its been a mixed blessing: 6 lbs. gone! Granddaughter #4, Jenni-Beth came by to cheer me up. She is busy. Shell be the worship leader for the new church plant in Pompano Beach...Shes going to Orlando for more studio work and will be a bridesmaid in 3 weddings this fall. She is in love and very happy...From day one..she was always so close to her Papa, David C. He would be so proud of her!. Today is the 24th day of August....Cant believe it has been 5 months since David..my love....went to his eternal home. My children and I have discussed how suddenly out of nowhere you can be OVERWHELMED by grief. I love how Psa. 61:2& 3 reads: When my heart is OVERWHELMED; lead me to the ROCK that is higher than I....YOU are a shelter for me (NKJV) Someone said: The only people who think there is a time limit to grief have never lost a piece of their heart.
