BODY FOUND IN RIVER NITH Police Scotland report that they have recovered the body of a man from the River Nith in Dumfries. The body was seen by members of the public floating downstream at the Caul and it was recovered from below St Michaels Bridge at the Dock Park. The body has been removed from the river and pronounced dead. The Procurator Fiscal has been notified. Further details will be circulated when known.
