BRAGGING TIME AGAIN ~ ~ This Grandma has been so busy this summer - TopicsExpress

BRAGGING TIME AGAIN ~ ~ This Grandma has been so busy this summer doing something so much FUN for our #1 Grandson, William. We stayed busy w/William His whole senior year at LTHS, enjoying all His accomplishments and His decisions for His future. After being accepted at Texas Tech, Baylor, SWTS (?) and others, this past school year, His goal is to go into A & M Engineering. He has entered Texas A & M Tarleton State University PSA and will be admitted to College Station next Fall in the Engineering program. Well, IF this ol Grandma can stop braggin, this was supposed to be about yesterday, Sunday. I had told William my FUN would be to furnish His dorm/His needs at college. After spending this whole past Summer reading and learning the rules of what/what NOT to bring, the nice things to have, the wish list of things to bring for a Freshmen dorm room w/suite mates for the bath, I went to work (FUN). Visited most shops in Gods end of this Country, Oak Hill area and bought most all the stores out ~ ha-ha. Then finding the online Site of Residence Hall Linens and finding they sold whole packages of everything a college requires at a much better price, PLUS a 4 year guarantee on all the products of bedding of sheets, comforter, matress cover, memory foam cover, all towels, etc, etc, etc ~ I had a ball on that Site. Anyway, after packing tight and labeling w/His name/dorm name/room # after many late nights/days/weeks, off to Tarleton State University the Family and I trekked off to this past Sunday. William driving His re-newed Pa-Paws PU (RIP) w/stuff, followed by my Van full of stuff and driving for approx. 3 1/2 hours, following the college directions on where to drive and stop for the Professors/Deans/organizations to UNload every college student/Family, we finally made it to the dorm room. The entrances/halls in His co-ed dorm were like millions of ants of students/Parents scurrying up/down short stairways, going into wrong rooms, finding they were on wrong floors, etc. When we were at the right dorm room, we went to work. Like lil ants, two Families (Williams roommate/parents) and all of us were putting up curtains, putting down rugs, moving stuff around to fit better and finishing up Williams new home, sweet home ~ ha-ha. Grandma was so worried about Him not knowing but a handful there, when every few minutes, a group of pretty girls would stop by asking IF that was Williams room and where was He? William met so many at freshmen Duck Camp a few weeks back and was well sought after Sunday ~ ha-ha. After a few last touches, many more Hugs btw William/Family and Grandma (tears) ~ We said our Goodbyes, turned and left. The Washington Street in front of the college, running one end of town to the other in Stephenville, has everything a person would ever need/want to survive ~ As we were driving away, we looked back and sure nuff, William and a Friend were already walking across campus to meet up w/other students who were waiting on them to go eat. Our Son/Family (William) have always lived on our 6 generation ranch across the crick from our house, so this is a real Xperience not to see William daily. William is independent, a leader, an Eagle Scout and is taking all higher Math/Science courses while He is just a Freshmen there in the PSA program (18 hrs/class load), so I know He will have Great FUN! NOW, #2 Grandson is ready to take His spot as a junior on the LTHS football team and get all the attention William had before grad from LTHS and off to college ~ Cant wait to have even more FUN w/#2 Grandson ~ God Bless ~ ~ ~
