** BREAK THROUGH ** KEEP YOUR EARS PEELED ON YOUR LOCAL BBC RADIO FOR THE SONG AND LET US KNOW IF YOU HEAR IT! Just had this uplifting message from Steve Woodhall, BBC Local Radio Music Manager (the person who chooses which songs are syndicated across the BBC regional network) I have distributed the track round to all the BBC’s local stations, drawing attention to its topicality. So hopefully some will give the song some plays over the coming days. We will consider the track for the main playlist, although to be honest, we don’t often include tracks of this nature (time relevant/topical) as they tend to work better when played in context, i.e. talked up by a presenter or associated with features/news stories on the subject. Then again it is a classic and familiar to many, so I suspect it will warrant some plays on that fact alone! Once again thanks for drawing our attention to the release Cheers Steve Woodhall . So you know what to do folks - if youd like to hear it on your local radio station, please email your favourite show/ presenter and suggest they play it. They now have it at their fingertips !! People Power !!! Pete Seeger would be so proud of us all I am sure - and thanks to Peggy Seeger for getting behind the project so enthusiastically :D
