BREAKING NEWS: Because of the current standings of the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants, the two teams scheduled to play in tonight’s match up on Monday Night Football, the NFL has decided to cancel the game due to the anticipated record low TV viewing audience. The NFL apologized for any inconvenience this may have on ticket holders, the TV viewing audience and NFL fans across America, but the NFL believed that it is less painful for NFL fans to cancel the game than to let the game go on and let people watch what might be misconstrued as football. The NFL also stated that they must do everything in their power to protect the NFL brand that took decades to build—the NFL is worried that the brand could be destroyed if tonight’s game went on as originally planned. Instead of the Monday night game, ESPN will air the rerun of OJ Simpson being chased by the LAPD.
