*** BREAKING NEWS *** Dear Supporters, Today SOS – Oroklini has reached a milestone. We have taken a bold step and entered a new era of rescuing our furry friends via our so-called HALF-WAY KENNEL, which today has ensured the safety of four dogs (Keetron, Leonie, Elmo and Noire)! In view of the fact that we have had three poisonings out of which two were deadly (Toyaa, Cedric and Philia), one gun shot incidence (Toyaa) and one dog disappearing from the pound this autumn (Quilla), and hunters preying to snatch an attractive hunting dog from the pound (most recently Elmo), we said to ourselves enough is enough. The pound is NOT a safe place for dogs that have been adopted and are waiting for their flight. Emotionally we cannot handle another loss of a dog that we have cared for with love and affection. Therefore we have taken a plunge into deep waters to keep as many of them as safe as possible. SOS - Oroklini has committed to rent, on an annual basis, one private kennel space that can accommodate three dogs at a time in a professionally run kennel, which we can visit any time we please. We call it our half-way kennel project, i.e. a stepping-stone for the dogs before they can fly out to their forever homes. This kennel space, and ideally additional kennels, will have to be financed trough donations that we hope to receive via the local community (both private people and businesses) and from our supporters in Holland, Germany, UK, Norway and Sweden on a monthly basis. We therefore are kindly asking for you to become a monthly supporter of the half-way kennel project. A bronze sponsorship is 5 euro/month, a silver sponsorship is 10 euro/month, a gold is 25 euro/month and a diamond sponsorship is 50 euro/month. All sponsors will be recognized monthly via our Facebook-page and website (unless you decide to remain anonymous). We, the core of the SOS-volunteers, have committed to a diamond sponsorship. We have already two companies pledging for the silver sponsorship and several private persons pledging various levels of sponsorship.
