BREAKING NEWS: Explosion Hits YPG Office in Rojava An explosion hit the main office of the Peoples Protection Units (YPG) and an office of the Kurdish Red Moon, a Kurdish based humanitarian aide company, in Kobane a town in the Aleppo province of northern Syria. Red Moon is a Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) organization. The death toll and injuries caused by the explosion are unclear at this point and the perpetrators behind the attack have not been revealed. YPG forces have been fighting for months with militant groups in a bid to secure areas in northern Syria, which are populated by ethnic Kurds. In recent weeks YPG forces have made considerable gains against militant forces securing about 23 towns in the north of Syria and consolidating its control of certain areas.
