BRIX Entertainment Center Wants Musicians, Judges, Donors / Investors, and Competition Showcases Audiences BRIX Entertainment Center - The goal of BRIX Entertainment Center is to give musicians a chance to develop and become local and possibly national / international sensations in a way that they never thought would be possible. - Musical talent search shows don’t give every musician a fair chance or, sometimes, any chance at all. Plus, American Idol and America’s Got Talent don’t even require that contestants have musical ability because they want judges to criticize the contestants in a disrespectful, unhelpful way in order to entertain. - No musician who plays / sings at least some original music will be turned away from performing in the competition showcase and receiving immediate feedback. - Musicians who don’t play / sing with a band will be placed with a band. - Brix will develop musical talent by having more experienced musicians teach them how to take their career to the next level using a new and very unique business development model that involves the bands self-promoting. - Bands will perform in front of judges, the public, and live on radio stations and perhaps tv stations. - The live audience will be served food and beverages. We’re the first musical talent search business to do this. - Judges will give the musicians feedback on the spot in a constructive way. - Bands are encouraged to compete as many times as they would like to. - Please obtain more info. on BRIX at brixentertainmentcenter. How You Can Help BRIX - We need bands, musicians, and singers who might have great talent, but have never had the chance to show it, to compete in our American Idol type contests. These musicians could be in school, garage or bands, or otherwise waiting for an opportunity to shine. - The cost for musicians to participate in our contests is a 1-time application fee of $25 per musician, which would equal $125 for a 5-person band. The application fee entitles them to receive the following benefits: • Professional video of your contest performance, which will include the judges’ and the crowd’s responses; you can use this to continue to sell yourself / your band or learn what you need to work on to become more successful; and • If you win a contest, then you will receive a 1-year contract with BRIX; we will develop your careers by promoting the band locally, nationally, and possibly internationally, continually providing you with feedback, booking you for large local and possibly national and international shows, and creating and producing an album of original music with and for you. - We need a few judges. There’s no cost or huge time commitment to be a judge. However, you will receive exposure and the opportunity to show what you know. - Our premier series of shows will be at Minnesota Music Café 499 Payne Ave., St. Paul minnesotamusiccafe, (651)776-4699 on Monday, August 26 through Friday, August 30 at noon to 6 pm on weekdays and 8 pm on Friday.
