BUMPS IN ONDO TOWN I was of the opinion that Ondo sud be a shining example and a town to be emulated but i deem this opinion is getting dimmer by the day. The Ondo community need to be reminded that the state is named after Ondo town one of the major reasons why it sud be shining example. The construction of bumps along the express road is contradictory to the traffic rules of this country. Ondo is not busier than Ore or Akure neither is it busier than Benin, Warri, Yenegoa, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, yet there are no bumps in these cities as much as in a small and scanty populated town like Ondo. It sud be of note that ondo is the gateway to our state capital and the hometown of our current governor. In my interactions with some drivers they blamed the FRSC for being responsible to av given approval to the constructions. This Ondoic dimension of operation is daisy in the socio-public activities of the community though every society has its idiosyncrasy but since this affects the general public there wud be very necessary need to sink the idios for the good of the generalty. Also it sud be noted that traffic contraventions are the sole responsibility of "uniformed" police officers to check and arrest but in Ondo town, particularly around Odotu, a number of unidentified persons constitute themselves to illegal traffic officers and collect illegal rates. I beg to be understood in my true context, no intentions to humiliate, insult, blackmail or otherwise but see that the image of the town and particularly the state is remedied.
