BUUF vs Jet Black – 7:20pm Tuesday 25th June This game is shaping up to be the fastest paced of the 3 finals. BUUF and Jet Black both loving breaking through lines with dishies, and can find themselves getting on very quick breaks. BUUF has seen a slight changing of the guard this year, as some of the old hands hand over to the new. This was not helped by loosing Pat to Peanuts, however that is a story for another time. The two to watch here are Beggsy and Tony. They have only played together twice for the season, and each time BUUF have won. Apparent from these two player, Curtis is the only other player from BUUF’s 13 strong Season winners last year to get a guernsey this year. Having said this those called up this season have not let the team down with Tyler having a great first season. Being the fittest team within the competition, they will want to put the knife to Jet Black. Jet Black on the other hand, has seen their core playing group stay much the same for the past few seasons, and their style of play reflects that. Josh and Rockbeat are a massive asset for them, and they play off each other better than anyone. Not to be put to shame, Dev can break lines just as well as anyone BUUF has to offer. With Nathan playing tall and Anthony able to play down low, BUUF will need to be weary of their defence. Who to watch: - Since lighting up the court at the Victorian Indoor Championships, Anthony has been on fire in the end zone, and is taking down everything thrown to him. With a slight lack of talls for BUUF, will he have his chance to shine - Since Pat was shuffled off to Peanuts, Joe has not had his usual partner in crime to play with. On the Boundary -Both teams are in relatively good health, whether that means they are or are not taking peptides is anyone’s guess. Rumor Mill: - Is 7:20 too early for Rockbeat and Josh? They are well and truly missed last week against a fulled stocked Werribee contingent. - Where has Dev been? Surely he will not miss 3 weeks in a row. - BUUF’s captain Emily has only played two games for the season. Possibly there is some fracturing in the team that lead her to quit, we will find out Tuesday when the screws are tightened.
