Back before the rights went back to Marvel Studios/Disney, Fox - TopicsExpress

Back before the rights went back to Marvel Studios/Disney, Fox made up a sample trailer for their planned Daredevil reboot. They used clips from different movies, using a voice over of Robert De Niro from Taxi Driver. This fueled my hope for an Italian Kingpin, as the character is a mob boss from New York. And with Vincent DOnofrio casted, there is hope yet. MIchael Clarke Duncan did a good job, and it does make sense that someone who grew up as a thug in Hells Kitchen would be black. But the sample trailer shows that Fox planned to make a retro-flick, placing Matt Murdock in the 70s. What if Marvel hadnt ditched that idea? I mean, they are now filling in gaps from the past, with Hank Pym being an Ant-Man from the Sixties, and the new Agent Carter show showing the start of SHIELD in the Forties. Also, with the other Defenders shows that will supplement Daredevil, a Luke Cage in the 70s could show, not only the struggle of a vigilante in such time, but a black man, as well. Not to sound cliche, but he could have a Shaft feel. #Daredevil #Netflix #Defenders #MarvelComics #MarvelStudios #Disney #RobertDeNiro #TaxiDriver #Fox #Kingpin #VincentDOnofrio #MichaelClarkeDuncan #HellsKitchen #MattMurdock #HankPym #AntMan #MichaelDouglas #AgentCarter #AgentsofSHIELD #LukeCage
