Back in 2004 I watched the cutest little boy in court as he pressed his nose against the security glass and quietly wept as his father was being sentenced to 7 years in prison for drug trafficking. I remember that face like it was today. Now fast forward 10 years. That same boy now about 16 or 17 years old in court consoling his mother and other siblings as stepfather and moms husband number 2 is hauled off to prison, also for drug trafficking. There is so much wrong with this world and I get to see it daily, front and center. I really dont know how much more I can take of doing court work.
