Back in March, Ryanair’s main rival easyJet began offering services to Moscow’s Domodedovo air hub from both London Gatwick and Manchester. The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air also offers regular flights to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. The service from Dublin to Moscow will be Ryanair’s longest route. Although it currently flies to destinations as distant as Skellefetea in northern Sweden, Paphos in Cyprus and the Romanian capital Bucharest, the Moscow flight will cut through the 1500-mile barrier, with a total each-way distance of 1735 miles.
