Back in October I missed the whole month of work due to bronchitis...at first I was worried, I panicked and then I put it in Gods hands.....I made it through, though not 100% over the bronchitis, still have reoccurring bouts, but my faith keeps me going.....I also made a promise to God that I would not stress about money or anything else as far as that goes and that I would place whatever I was facing in his hands. Since then several events have tested me and I kept my promise to not stress and they were handled for me.....up until today....i have been having trouble with the drivers door on my car.....went to Circle K last night for milk and was not able to get the door closed when I got home...checked it this morning in the daylight and found the top hinge had broken and the the next part down, the thing that keeps the door from closing back on you before you can get out was broke too.....one hinge was keeping the door on the car....I did not stress....went to my favorite mechanic, John Hastings, but he could not fix it....he recommended 2 body shops, one just up the street. I went up there, explained the situation and he checked it out.....quoted me a price of 450+ to fix it.....my heart started racing....I didnt have that much till next Wednesday on Social Security day....I explained that to him....he said too bad....no money, no fix.....i pleaded.....asked him to call John and he would vouch for me....he refused to call him....said I could continue to use the door....i asked how long he thought the one hinge would hold....his response was till the door falls off....Can you beleive that remark?.....then I did what I promised I would NOT do.....I lost control....got angry....said some things I shouldnt have and left.....as I was driving to the next body shop John had recommended I prayed to God, begged his forgiveness for my lack of control and faith and asked again for his help....got to the next shop.....introduced myself to Eddie the owner and explained my dilemma.....his first quote without even looking at the car was 200.00. now that I could do....he said it would take several hours....would I like to stay there or he could drive me home.....I chose home....on the way home he dropped the quote to 160.00....(me smiling from ear to ear).....2 hours later his Mom called to tell me it was finished....I asked how much and she said 108.89.....OMGosh....I couldnt believe it....she was sending Eddie to pick me up....we went back to my car and all is well.....I can not stop praising my Lord.....He always keeps his promise.....Thank You Lord for blessing me today and helping me find a very Christian family who believes in good service and trusting people....Eddies mom told me they have been in business for 13 years.....not rich but comfortable because of Eddies christian beliefs and generosity.....I will always be indebted to them and promise to not lose my faith (or control) again.....God is Great !!!!!!
