Back in the day, I would drive to Malate all the time (several times a week!) to eat, have a drink, trip out on some tunes (Insomnia, where art thou? hehe), and meet friends. It was vibrant and colorful - til somehow it all imploded. Ive long been hoping for it to be revived -- the area still has so much character and cool! Well, this may be the answer to my prayers: the June opening of Amy Besa and Chef Romy Dorotans Purple Yam at Amys old family home. You just know that interesting things are going to happen at this revitalized space! The revival begins here... ;)
