Back to Ferguson. Dont fall into the trap of judging all police, or all protestors, and expecially a whole race of people because of actions of a few. Ive heard more and more about militarization of the police force. A police force has got to be ready for the ever rising and more violent criminal element that has no respect for life. There are levels of force in which to react to certain threats, but when you have police being targeted from guns, it simply meets the highest threat level of response. I can only hope the community leaders hand in hand with the law enforcement community can weed out those whom are showing up nightly to try and make a bad situation worse. Theres no excuse to be looting, shooting at officers, throwing objects. If most of the trouble were identified, most wouldnt even be from Ferguson. Yes I understand to get respect, you must give it as well. Its just ashame that dialogue seems to end up useless as the night falls. So what is the solution? Law abiding fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, police yourself and use law enforcement as an extention of your family. After all, any good agency has officers who are part of that community family. There should never be an us verses them. Only a We shall survive peacefully as a community. Not perfect, but still able to come together and communicate. That means, information flowing both ways resulting in a greater good for all involved.
