Back to Kings. Mom, Doris Griffin Norton was the second sibling so Ill go on to the 3rd, which is Aunt Patsy King Holden and Uncle John. When I was little they lived on a farm. then they moved into town and owned a grocery store. I got all the free candy, gum and soda I wanted, and read all the comic books! Aunt Patsy knew everyone in town, and everyone knew her. One time, Bill, Laura and I went to visit her and got lost. we pulled over to the side of the road and a cop came by and said who are yall looking for? and I said Aunt Patsy, and he said Follow me and took us right to her house! She roasted a pig in a pit with coals every July 4th and it was yummy! Uncle John was a quiet man, and had a good sense of humor. He collected coins. A funny memory of him is when Aunt Patsy made pickles with Jalapenos in the brine and served them with dinner. I had one and almost fainted it was so hot! I grabbed for a piece of bread and asked her for some milk, he laughed so hard and at the end of the meal he asked me if I didnt want some more pickles!!!
