Back to Urgent Care i went...my throats been sore on & off for the past week and when i went for pink eye yesterday, i didnt say anything about my throat b/c it felt the best it had felt, BUT i woke up today and it was on FIRE and continued to be all day. Im totally convinced (more & more each time i go) that the Drs at Urgent Care are the last-string kind-of-doctors - you know, the kind that no one else will hire. They basically look at you, barely touch you & send you on your way with some meds. It seems like they want you to self-diagnose yourself & just agree with your diagnosis. The glands in the right side of my neck are all swollen and i forgot to mention that tonight, so of course, he didnt even feel my neck. I tested negative for strep (which was a shock). I told him my throat was on fire and he asked if i had drainage, which i said, yes to and he said, well theres the source of your sore throat there. i told him i saw some sort of white spots or blisters at the bottom of my throat, close to my tongue and said, well, will you please just look at my throat because he acted like he wasnt going to touch me. he said, oh, yes, of course Ill look at your throat. he told me that what i was seeing was called cobblestoning which is normal with drainage - i KNOW what i can see in my throat. He looked at my throat all of a half-second... oh well. He told me that i have a sinus infection (which i dont agree with) and prescribed me a z-pack..... Im DONE!!! with being sick!!! ahhhhh!!!! lol
