Back to old grind from today...as the Durga Puja comes to an end and I look at the empty, desolate pandal from my window a sense of emptiness and void engulfs me...the last two months had been hectic...arranging funds, talking to the idol maker, the Decorator, the caterer, the sound man, the dhakis, late night rehearsals, arranging the cultural programme and events for all the 5 days...the involvement becomes so much that the entire thing gets into the system...and all of a sudden you have nothing to do...but yes, as I look back at the successful execution of the Sarodutsav, the smiling faces in the Pandal swinging to the beats of the dhak, the performance by the in house talents and guest artists, the competitive spirit of the enthusiastic participants at the different competitive events organised by us, late night addas in the Pandal with no strings attached...it does give me the oxygen to pull me through till the next Pujas...the cycle goes on...
