Background of these uploads: The picture of a wild stallion was started by Julie in 2003, put on hold for seven years and then finished when she felt the time was right and was given to me for Christmas in 2010. I had a very elementary understanding of the meanings behind it then and kind of saw it with limited depth. She spent four years trying to draw its sequel but could not find it until a few months ago when she said my mind saw it and it flowed - it was time to finish the set. It was given to me for my gift this year in 2014. There is tremendous personal significance in the many detail and elements of both drawings, both obvious and very subtle but I can tell you that these are extremely special and even sacred to me. Ive never owned a worldly possession that I cherish more. Merry Christmas to me! And thank you, Julie, from the very bottom if my heart. Im just a simple, rowdy, rambling dirt bag of a man who tries and often fails to be a good person but you are a gifted, brilliant and mature woman who is capable of seeing the worth and potential in even the weakest of us. I wanted to share this with all of my friends and loved ones. These were not created to remain unseen, behind closed doors.
