Bahuguna sanctions Rs. Five Lacs for Kirans family on the request of Uttrakhand Journalists Forum I am a very happy man today . Happy because today I have been able to prove my mettle as a social activist. Today evening at 6 o clock I in my capacity of the President of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum along with my trusted colleague Devendra Bisht and journalist Shoorvir Singh met the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttrakhand Mr. Vijay Bahuguna and presented him a memorandum explaining about the plight of Late Kiran Negis family which is passing through the most critical phase of their lives and emphasized on him for providing them adequate financial help in order to make them self reliant and compensate to some extent for the irreparable loss confronted by them while loosing their daughter who was killed last February at the hands of the three human beasts after being brutally, most inhumanly and gruesomely gang raped in Nazafgarh, Delhi. The Chief Minister was quite ambivalent and concerned about this unfortunate mishappening and without wasting a single moment sanctioned a consolidated amount of Rupees 5 lacs to the bereaved family and also assured of launching the Kiran Negi Bravery awards in the near future. This kind and generous gesture & valuable contribution on the part of the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna genuinely deserved to be appreciated as late Kiran Negi was a Delhi resident and breathed her last in Haryana, I suppose. While thanking Mr. Bahuguna from the core of my heart on behalf of Uttarakhand Journalist Forum and all the Uttarakhandies living in Delhi and elsewhere, I pray to Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and death to the culprits.
