Banbury United 0 Burnham 2 United fail to sparkle and go down to relegation rivals Burnham 2-0 at the Spencer Stadium. This was a dour affair and for the first half hour had 0-0 written all over it. However, on 31 minutes Banbury goalkeeper Leigh Bedwell came out to collect a long ball down the field but misjudged the bounce and the ball went over him and Nathan Webb knocked the ball home into an empty net. United were a little better at the start of the second half but never troubled Alex Lynch in the Burnham goal and the visitors would make it 2-0 on 62 minutes when Webb scored his second of the evening, striking the ball home from just inside the penalty area. United never looked like getting back into the contest with the Burnham defence comfortably dealing with what Banbury had to offer going forward. It was a most disappointing performance, especially so after the improvement shown just three days earlier. Banbury United: Leigh Bedwell, Luke Cray, Marvin Martin, Jack Westbrook, Carl Tappin, Tom Ryan, Jordan Green, Duran Martin (Harry Jervis 45), Leam Howards (Ben Whitehead 65), Jacob Walcott, Darius Browne (AJ George 58). Burnham: Alex Lynch, Josh Webb, Garry Jones, Melchi Williamson (Danny Gordon 81), Craig Carby, Lewis Fogarty (Jack Thompson 68), Joshua Webb, Nathan Webb, Bidemi Afolabi, Victor Osubu (Tyrell Mitford 77), Adam Bernard.
