Barn Buddy Program - Available Candidates! (4 photos) The Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center has kittens that may not be suitable for family life, but would make pretty darn good mousers and barn buddies for your other pesky critters! These cats are semi-feral and a tad temperamental and may just prefer the great outdoors. If you have some land and a barn that needs protecting, our Barn Buddy Program and these kittens may be just the cats meow! Your barn and our kitten would be such a great match! You provide a safe place for the cats to stretch their legs and do what cats do well - catch tiny rodents, and at the same time, save the life of a shelter kitten. Its a win-win for all of us, but especially the kitty. As a participant in the Barn Buddy Program, the entire adoption fee is waived! Imagine that, a life time hard worker for no adoption fee! Your responsibility is to keep them current on vaccinations and city license if applicable. Contact the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center at show contact info option 2 for more information or to inquire about our Barn Buddy Program and put these otherwise unadoptable guys and gals to work for you! (Child labor laws are not applicable). Call us today and ask about our Barn Buddy program. These cats are up to date on all their shots, microchipped and neutered upon adoption. Ask for the foster kittens of Liz Mangino: Specifically, she has 3 kittens available: - Blaze is the female with the white blaze. She is quiet and calm. She will allow us to pick her up without any issues and under the right circumstances with the right person may even become friendly. - Joker is the male with a half gray & half white face. He is still a bit skittish, but is easy to work with and can be picked up with out much fuss. He has goods day and bad days. Both Blaze and Joker do hiss sometimes but their bark is worse than their bite - Yodette is the small female with the smudge on her nose. She is the boldest but also the most feral acting and hates to be picked up and will hiss and sometimes spit and strike. These kittens are not suitable for family life at this time so would benefit from this program. Contact us if you are looking for kitties to help you keep your barn ship shape and want to save the life of a shelter cat!
