Baseball in 2014 is the best that its been in decades. Honest performances without steroids, PEDs, and blowhards like Alex Rodriguez. Exciting young players; fabulous replays to show the beautiful physics of the game and yes to correct umpiring errors. Proud of my wife Kathleen (initials KC) who immediately jumped off couch to say that guy was out on the dive at first base and replay proved her right. Football is Americas favorite sport on TV, but the game simply is not as good as it was in the 70s and 80s. Rules totally favor offense; defenses have major screwups in college and NFL; every game a 5-yard completion goes for a plus 50-yard TD. Offensive stats have become a joke. Manning breaks Favres alltime TD pass record but remember a 1-yard TD pass counts the same as a 61-yarder. There are better arms in baseball than football. How amazing is it to watch Pablo Sandoval switch-hitting; playing 3rd base and sliding into third, tagging up on on a fly to left? Now if only the Braves would come clean and stop calling themselves and operating like a small market team.
