Based on discussions elsewhere, and hearing about the huge amount of work that goes into setting up sound for a dance (often including schlepping sound gear), Ive suggested to the BACDS board that they consider raising the minimum pay for the sound engineer to $50. There has been a request to put this on the agenda for the meeting on 1/15. I thought Id share this information in a public post for people to have input/know about this, etc.
