Be Careful What You Wish For Written By: Glowing Scenes -CHAPTER 4- Andrea looked away shyly while her heart thudded in her chest but that was before she heard a guy shout his name just behind them. She turned to see one of his colleagues in class gesticulating with his hands and Ryan yelled back “5 minutes.’’ Before his friend turned back and walked away. Her heart dropped in her chest and she tried as much as possible to swallow the saliva that had built up in her tongue and told herself she had to stop obsessing over what she couldn’t have and get a life And just for a moment, she actually wished within her Ryan had looked at her that way. Ohh, anything she would give for him to look at her differently, even if it was just for a second. “you okay?’’ Scar asked. “yea..sure.’’ she lifted her bag and placed the bowl inside already walking ahead of her friend. �?’I’m fine.’’ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Susan Brews looked up towards Ryan’s gaze when his classmate called his attention. She noticed the two girls standing up and strolling away and just kept staring. Even when Ryan winked at her, it didn’t bring any form of joy or satisfaction to her. It just got her angrier and her loneliness was beginning to absorb her whole being, more like she was being immersed into it. Was there anyway she could break free from the invisible shackles that tied her down, that held down her wings? She kept staring at the dark haired girl who stood staring at Ryan and had looked down immediately and right there at that moment, she wished she was in her shoes, but most likely not staring at Ryan but eating up to get that scrawny scary figure to bloom rather than remain in her body that could bloat if anything other than her normal diet wasn’t taken. She wished she was that girl walking away with her friend casually and no one paid them any attention. She wanted to stay away from all the eyes and all the attention that was being fed to her each day. She wanted to love someone else and share all her feelings and her heart with someone else Even if it was just for one day. She was tired of being Susan Brews. Why couldn’t she be an ordinary girl with a close and truthful friend and have a boyfriend who cared enough to notice what was going on in her life? She had a stage drama tomorrow which was going to be presented before the external judges, another audition for a movie shoot was coming up for her for which she might have to travel for over the weekend and a whole bunch of other schedules lined up for her this week and she wished she could escape out of them all. She didn’t know if she could take it anymore. Even her girlfriends could not understand the battle raging within her presently. Something had to be done. She couldn’t take the pressure anymore. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Throughout the rest of the day, Rea didn’t feel comfortable at all and she itched while her ears kept tingling. Her body kept acting funny and weird and most times when Scar talked to her, she felt herself drifting away. Something was happening to her…, she could feel it and it was a very strange sensation that kept creeping into her bones, making her feel weak And so she retired to bed early, leaving her homework half done and Scar rounded up for her. She had the strangest dream that night and kept tossing and turning, while stranger things took place within her unconsciously. And then before she woke up, she felt herself drifting into a faraway land while her mum and Rick tried to reach her but couldn’t. Mickey and the twins were screaming but their voices seemed to drown in the swirl of noise that was beginning to envelop her as she kept drifting. More like sailing but there was no boat, she just felt so distant from everybody And then she heard a door slam and her eyes snapped open. Nothing to point to as a disruption and still feeling heavy with sleep, she fell back to her pillow and dozed off once more unaware of the changes going on around and within her.
