Because Ive just announced with out really explaining in full the situation and its sparking curiosity and confusion of why to questions I dont want to really answer. To explain it once makes it a lot easier on me. At 16 weeks my ultrasound revealed little amniotic fluid surrounding bub(oligohydramnios), a few things can cause this but in bubs case in was renal/kidney dysplasia. There are many variations but in his case both (bilateral) his kidneys had turned cystic due to the normal process of swallowing fluid and being unable to pass it due to bubs abnormalities. This process is usually referred to as potters sequence. I searched for as long as I could to change the outcome but unfortunately a 100% mortality rate stood in our way with only 1 known surviver of conditions causing potters sequence. It would take a true miracle to change the odds we face. Although I believe in miracles I have accepted that this is lifes plan for us. A big reason for me not sharing our story was having to explain the situation as its not easy for some to except that things like this happen and there is nothing that can be done. I was oblivious until I had to walk in these shoes myself. Please respect the fact that only fate will decide whats to follow and I want to enjoy and remember every moment Im blessed with no matter how short that time is meant to be.
