Lessening The Hold that Trauma has upon us all and helping the mind in its OWN time begin to deal with it in its OWN WAY. Kindness is the healing tool. Sharing and support is the KEY. I feel this sometimes has a shock lessening effect. We dont lose the memories, but the shock feeling becomes better able to go through and the spells of inability to function do not last as long nor seem to be as severe. Also the physical pain less when stress tools are learned and engaged. Tuesday Night on Insight I will be speaking about PTSD again, sharing stories, and talking about ways to reduce the stress response when the trauma memories come at us. I was in a horrible car accident when I was 17 and the car was totalled and I was pulled out of the car and I survived but I will always carry the scars of the car accident, physically and in my heart too.
