City of Edmonton is hiring Staff Support Assistants on an employer provided work permit! $20.811 - $25.842 (Hourly) Interested applicants can apply here: migrationauthority/jobs/view/staff-support-assistant-worddata-processing-clerk-ii/ As the Staff Support Assistant you will: Act as the first point of contact for the Citys temporary administrative pool ensuring a welcoming experience Conduct realistic job previews, assessment sessions and effectively schedule interviews Facilitate sign-on/orientations for Staff Supports new hires ensuring a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and performance expectations Maintain an accurate record of applicants testing in Taleo Process accurate bi-weekly payroll records for approximately 150 Staff Support employees by collecting, sorting, auditing, and approving timesheets to ensure payroll is processed on time and free of errors Prepare and maintain payroll files, missed time reports, union dues, reimbursements and other related documentation ensuring accurateness Create an error free monthly accounting report for Staff Support recoveries within Microsoft Excel Approve vendor invoices for payment by researching dates, hours and appropriate signatures making certain accurate dispensing of monies Create purchase orders for approved vendor invoices within SAP; cross reference information to a reconciliation table thus ensuring accurate information input and create a monthly record of vendor charges Process monthly corporate procurement card approvals for the Recruitment Team, ensuring deadlines are met Update daily Staff Support employee tracking in Microsoft Access Assist Staff Support Coordinator with tracking and updating processes for improving team efficiencies Act as an event coordinator for Recruitment special event programs through effective scheduling and coordination Other administrative duties as required by the section To visualize what it is like to be on our team, visit The City of Edmonton Administrative Professionals Talent Hub Qualifications: Completion of grade 12 including business subjects related to word and information processing or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in basic microcomputer applications A minimum of two (2) years diversified word and information processing experience Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Gmail, Google Docs, and SAP is required; Proficiency in PowerPoint, Taleo, PeopleSoft, and assessment software is an asset Proven ability to learn new computer programs at an accelerated rate Superb customer service, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently in a fast paced, high volume environment while maintaining a professional and positive attitude Able to work independently and actively contribute to a collaborative team environment Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and maintaining a variety of accurate records and mathematical calculations Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program Salary Range: 21M, Salary Grade: 006, $20.811 - $25.842 (Hourly); $36,663.78 - $45,527.14 (Annually).
