Been a month and a bit since my last update. If you can believe it, things are mostly the same. Long days at the hospital making it palpable for my dad. Hes in the respiratory ward now, no more ICU at least and doing off-ventilator trials to regain his strength. Im managing my family, his care, his affairs and sometimes myself. Im very tired. Thank you for the messages of encouragement and those working hard to make me smile. Thank you for still buying merch to help me through it financially. Thank you for the generous donations. As far as music goes, I do miss it terribly. Im so emotionally exhausted that I can even begin to think of being creative. I have 250 unread collab requests in my inbox that I cant even open. I had all of these great intentions for the acoustic and electronic EPs that are far postponed. I think as the months pass and things get better Ill trickle back into it. For now though, I just have to focus on getting through the days. It seems easiest for me to post on twitter (@veelamusic), instagram (veelamusic) and send snapchats (veelamusic) back and forth to keep in touch with you all before I get back in the game. Thats where I post most often. Im at the hospital all day every day so Im never on my computer. Ive been somewhat torn between saying too much and too little about my familys situation right now, but then I think about all of you. I think about the emails Ive received, telling horror stories of what can happen in a life. You have all been open to me, Ill be open with you. I believe in the collective mind, helping each other and so far it has only helped. So all this to say, sit tight. Mama Kat is working terribly hard right now and I will return. And Im so grateful for your support even when Im not making art. PS: Thank you Steph from Australia for your impromptu visit. You are the embodiment of sunshine and I love you. The world needs to see our photoshop masterpiece.
