Been an incredibly intense week. Played some amazing shows to our super fans in Austria where our song The Sound Of Thunder is in the radio FM4 top ten. Got my obligatory tour sickness, started hearing a funny sound coming from the engine, those funny sounds got funnier, caught up with our Italian cousins who we havent seen since we were kids. Woke up in Rome and started out from Ravenna, the funny sounds stopped being funny, we broke down on a tiny bridge overlooking the biggest Canyon in Italy. Got towed to a mechanic, stood on the side of the road with all the essentials, took a drunken cab ride to Arezzo, lost my phone with all my tour photographs. Miraculously made it to Dornbirn and Baden where we played some of the best shows of tour to hundreds of people a night. Drove all day to Callais, took a ferry boat to England and team Lasagna won big at Phrase Party. Made it back to dry land, rented a clown car, stuffed ourselves and all our gear in, switched on BBC1 and immediately heard Sky Ferreira DJ some bed time tracks. Woke up feeling about 90% recovered from my sickness at the warehouse where Seb / Elephant Riders lives, and now all theres left to do is melt some British faces tomorrow night…. Also LONDON FRIENDS, weve got the day off!
