Been practicing my voice impressions (actors, movie characters) alot lately, gearing up for an audio-taping soon. First: I have to write down EVERY name! no script though, its always more fun to improv it. (this isnt a professional gig, just wanted to sound like it!) Got some GREAT advice from a very successful impressionist earlier this year, and some feedback about the 20+ impressions they listened to. One voice Ive almost got down is Vince Vaughn, its in between THE JOKER (Nolan) & Jon Favreau. I do both of those too so its kinda tricky but Im almost there! very similar to a Jeff Goldblum as well but that ones easier to tell apart due to the gaps & pacing in his speech patterns! Its gonna take some time to not only write down ALL the names but also to make sure Im completely confident with each impression, otherwise its pointless. When you listen back to your practice recordings- and youre impressed- thats a step in the right direction!
