Before anybody wants to throw a fit, please explain to me using science why bigger holes, magic technology, or kinetic energy stops bad guys faster... Clue, you cant. The ballistic difference between 9mm, .40, .45, 10mm, and other common self defense handgun calibers is almost non existent, and the difference is no negligible and inconsistent that sacrificing real, measurable variables like less time between shots fired, higher capacity, better ammo selection, long term serviceability, light to intermediate barrier penetration, etc. for a bigger caliber because it feels more powerful is nothing short of silly. There are very few exceptions like .380 being a worthless caliber and some people just shooting best with a good 1911 (which is designed for and runs best with .45), but for the most part, we now have many aspects of ballistics and gunfighting down to an exact science. Anecdotes about the big holes your granddaddy blew in the Vietcong with his .45 are no longer the benchmarks for caliber selection.
