Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. Oh God, thank you for the furnace of affliction in my life for it is truly working a miracle: for no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it will yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto my soul which is being exercised thereby. For I yearn for that wisdom which is from above for it is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. For this is the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain within me. For you have put me into a kingdom which cannot be moved, help me us to have grace, whereby we may serve you acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for you are a consuming fire.
