{Behold, the virgin shall conceive in her womb, and will bear a son. And they will call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)} - We struggle so with change in our personal developed environments of preferential tastes... Jesus was born into a relatively poor Hebrew scene under the shadow of Roman rule, in a world where Greek was the common familiar language of commerce and education... Why then the insertion of this antiquated Hebrew word, Emmanuel into the narrative account; which lingers even to this day? Emmanuel; the word is not interpreted as God merely being with us, it extends so much further to lend itself into a meaning that here in Christ, God made Himself on a level EQUALING us! Deity being overshadowed by humanity to such an extent that it was seemingly dimmed, in order to associate with us. The word represents, in theory, an opposite of the explosive force seen in nuclear fission; something more like nuclear fusion, forming a new type of atomic nucleus of a spiritual nature. Something very much like that occurs when we encounter God at the head-on collision and collusion of salvation; a new atomic nucleus is formed within our spiritual being as we experience this phenomenon of Emmanuel at work in us and transforming our life being!
