Being a personal trainer and someone who literally practices what I preach, by this, I mean I pay someone to coach me, and help me with my nutrition, yes its true. I find it incredibly insulting when other trainers and just general gym goers say things like, why would you just eat chicken and broccoli or thats not how you squat, this is how you do it. Now I understand, there is soooo many ways and different methods out there in the wilderness. But my pet hate is questioning and then shitting on others techniques and protocols. My question is why? Recently I have seen a few funny things on face book, such as, you dont need to eat chicken and broccoli to get lean, which is true, but Im pretty sure people have been practicing this for several generations, and low and behold, its worked for generations. But do we eat for taste, or for fuel, and Im pretty sure this is where people get confused. WWFY - What Works For You? Dont say flavour works better than no flavour, just to make a dollar. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. Something my year 6 cricket coach thought me. Simple is controlled, simple doesnt complicate the process and simple and effective works. Listen to your body, and enjoy your results
