Check out Mr. Happiness! Loki passed the initial evaluation for our Therapy Dog program! He also then passed the evaluation on his first assisted care visit! Yipee! We know he has lots of love and happiness to share! He is going to make an awesome Therapy Dog! An awesome volunteer has been taking him for walks and bonding with him before the evaluations began! She will be taking him through the Therapy Dog program and plans on being his Therapy Dog partner until he is adopted! If your interested in a Therapy Dog, you would still need to go through the training with him to be certified as a team but Loki is on his way! Loki is an adorable nearly 2 year old American Eskimo/Westie mix; he is neutered, current on his vaccinations and is microchipped and Frontlined. Loki is a house-trained house dog and is used to using a doggie door. He loves to chew on his toys and bones, loves to play and go on walks with our Walk n Wag walking group, and he also enjoys dog parks. Loki is an active little guy that gets along great with other dogs and currently lives with 25 other dogs at the sanctuary. He enjoys riding in the car. He is a good watch dog and will bark but settles down when told to. Loki is very affectionate and likes to give kisses. He loves attention and enjoys sitting next to you; he can be a little jealous if there are too many other dogs competing for the same lap. He needs a family that has the time for him and that will provide him with the outlets for his energy, although he isnt hyper. A home with one or two other dogs would be great as he loves to play with other dogs. He is used to children but older ones would be best, he will be a good companion.
