Being a single mom is definitely the hardest period of my life so far. I didnt plan it this way and didnt think this would be my life. I have raised/am raising 5 beautiful children that are intelligent, creative, responsible, honest and the best friends others could have. Ive done it on my own for the past 8 years without a dad to be a part of their day to day lives. I dont ask or want sympathy because its the result of decisions that we made. I may struggle to get there but I always make it work in the end. I really hate, hate, hate when people especially someone who knows me well make judgments or criticize when I appear to mess up or fall behind. I hope one day I have the financial freedom to bless single moms or dads that do it all and give encouragement to hang in there when it looks hopeless and always remember that even on the days you dont feel good enough, your love for your kids is deep enough to cover your mistakes.
