Being members of the minority group, the shooting in Ferguson, - TopicsExpress

Being members of the minority group, the shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, should concern us. What if the person who was shot dead by a white police officer is a Filipino-American? Do we drum up support from the Fil-Am community and other minority groups and make accusation of police brutality and discrimination? Or do we first try to gather the facts and, for the sake of fairness, have an open mind and accept result of the investigation? Why does it have to be the fault of police officers who have been sworn in to serve and protect the public? Michael Browns supporters, with the help of the liberal mainstream media, first described Brown as just a kid and calling him a gentle giant. What they forgot to tell the public is that Brown was 64 and weighed 300 lbs who, together with an accomplice named Dorian Johnson, was caught on tape robbing a store. A kid and a gentle giant? Give me a break! And instead of protesting, some members of this group used the demonstration as a pretext to loot and burn business houses and cars. Now, Browns lawyer and supporters, like the Rev. Al Sharpton, called the release of the tape an attempt to assassinate Browns character. Then what about their attempt at character assassination of the the police officer? This officer has no prior complaints and was recently given an award for being a great cop who has worked as an officer for six years. I think its balderdash and absurd that the officer suddenly decided to shoot a man just because of the color of his skin. Browns accomplice, Dorian Johnson, claims that Brown was running away and that the officer shot him in the back. Yet the autopsy result revealed that Brown was shot in the front and that the locations of the bullets in his body indicate that he was trying to lunge at the officer who was in his squad car. At this point, its really difficult to believe Johnson. Police Officer Darren Wilson has already been tried and convicted in the black community with the help of the liberal mainstream media.
