Being that Ive read numerous times on this page, that cottonmouths are highly aggressive and chase people. A friend of mine in Texas recently made this video on cottonmouth behavior. While there is a little behavioral difference between the Western and Florida cottonmouths, theres not much of one. The primary difference, in my experience, is that the westerns are quicker to gape at you...while the Florida specimens on average have to be provoked a little more. But, by and large, this video still stands as a good educational resource if youre into Florida wildlife photography and come across cottonmouths. To the moderators, I apologize if this is outside of the general scope of the group, but I think educating people about the animals is every bit as important as the photography itself...and likely more so. youtube/watch?v=314N7xIeRR8&feature=youtu.be
