Below is an email we just sent out to ALL Local 275 members: Dear Member, We have been informed by the NERCC that over 25 members will need to have completed their required Union Participation Program requirement by the end of July/August 2013. Attached please find a reminder of the rules that were sent out the beginning of 2012 and put in several magazines published by NERCC informing all members of the new requirement. We have several events that are available to complete the UPP. Daily we have a picket line going in Chestnut Hill, this would be 4 hours of your time and you would need to let us know if you would like to stand on the line and we will contact the line captain. Thursday, July 18, 2013 11:00AM to 1:00PM demonstration against Nauset Construction at 407 Washington Street Boston (Downtown Crossing), let us know if you would like to participate we will send your contact information to Steve Falvey Saturday July 20, 2013 8AM Marshall Middle School, 15 Floyd Street, Billerica, MA 01821 – John Burrows is coordinating the event, let us know if you would like to participate we will send your contact information to John. If you are unable to participate in any of the above events and you will be assessed a fine soon then please go to upp.nercc.org for a list of other upcoming events!! You can always coordinate with another member or retired member who is willing to provide the UPP service for you. Be sure to give them your UPP card with your name and identification number on it to the member taking your place so they can print your name on the sign up list.
