Ben Sanvee attempting to ride on his sole experience in Liberian politics of being a youth advisor to a murderous President is like a girl trying to convince her suitor that her being viciously raped for years give her vast experience for marriage and makes her a better wife material over her mates who are still virgins. Hopefully, those who see no problem with Ben eulogizing about working for a war criminal rather than being unrepentant,, will stop complaining about the incompetent criminal bunch currently looting our country. Interestingly, most of the proponents of the belief that moving our nation forward calls for playing the ostrich (burying our heads in the sand and pretending that innocent kids were not slaughtered by mad men who, today, are roaming Liberia freely and with some even using their notoriety as political cash) and let bygones be bygones are the very ones who believe that to redeem mankind from his evil ways, the Almighty God has to send his only begotten son to pay the ultimate price of a gruesome death. If the Almighty God wouldnt just simply wish our sins away the sins of the world, what is some of our friends high on to be so deluded in thinking that people can commit heinous crimes and just walk scotch free? Until persons can take full responsibility for savagely extracting fetuses from mothers wombs, there will be no closure to our nightmare and we will keep going in the circle of poverty, illiteracy, backwardness and diseases. Voting for those criminals or given them any importance is a tacit endorsement of their nefarious acts and those who do so equally share in the their curses of those criminals. Until those unrepentant murderers, rapists and looters can be put in their rightful place-behind bar-we have to keep begging UNMIL to still our country forever. This pathetic reasoning that because the likes of Prince Johnson and other murderers and criminals were elected into positions of trust than it is right to vote for their associates makes me want to vomit. Shouldnt their performances, callous attitudes to our people and the pathetic state of country under their leadership be the very reasons that we should be more introspect when those associated with our recent terrible past seek our votes? It is really frustrating when you hear or read the logic of some of our people. Havent we learn that appeasing criminals with state power only result doesnt quench their thirst for wickedness. For goodness sake, it is high time we move out of the Taylors era and mentality. We cant keep recycling the same set of criminals and their stooges and expect our country to get better. It is about time that we relegate those with murky antecedents to the background so that persons with impeccable characters can have the space to serve the general good. Be not deceived by the associates of criminals cheap propaganda that because they associated with murderers, rapists and looters then every Liberians did likewise. Nothing can be farther from the truth than that. There are many decent Liberians out there who never supported mad men and their madness. Unlike those cursed individuals with bloody hands who will ruin anything they put their hands on, decent Liberians in the public sector will bring great blessing to our beloved country. As the good Book says in Proverbs 14:34: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.
