Beset by another Monday & regardless of how many Mondays rip the covers off of me, throw cold water in my face and blast “I Got You Babe” in my ear drum at the crack of dark, I am never prepared and seldom greet this particular mess with little more than an expletive followed by another expletive. Apparently, according to my calculator which is the only thing performing math at 4:30 in the morning considering I require at least 2 cups of inspiration in order to remember which shoe goes where; I have been the unlucky recipient of over 2500 of these intolerable and unpleasant annoyances. Before you get on your soapbox and begin lecturing me on how grateful and thankful I should be that I am still vertical & ventilating let me just say; I am. So shut up. All I am asking; is to remain horizontal & ventilating for as long as I deem necessary on this one particular day that follows the two previous days that I had the luxury of remaining horizontal & ventilating for as long as I deemed necessary and allow me the great delight in muzzling the possessed electronic rooster that only knows one song & resides across the room from me, for just one more day. ….really, I’m being serious. considering that I am up now, why not be amazing =)
