Bhagawan Nityananda: Prayers Uploaded, Grace Downloaded ~ Everyday, various people from all walks of life used to come to Bhagawan Nityananda in #Ganeshpuri. The audience hall was always packed with devotees. Someone would ask for knowledge: another would ask for wealth; a third for a house and a fourth for a job. Numerous women also used to visit Sri Gurudev for his darshan, asking for his blessing that she could have a child or a son. Gurudev would say yes to all of them. Have faith and everything will be granted unto you. he would add. Each one used to ask Bhagawan #Nityananda for what he wanted. On hearing someone asking for a child, another could laugh and make fun of him. His own inclinations being different, he would ridicule the other. But Sri Gurudev was the inner Ruler of all. He knew everyones mind and therefore would not make light of anyone, but would grant his wish with equanimity. If someone asked to be relieved of a physical ailment, Sri Gurudev would never advise him to have yogic attainment instead. If someone, through lack of understanding criticized such a person Sri Gurudev would not make any comment, but remained silent. Such criticism is stupid. Suppose a motorist, bound for a far-off destination, finds that he needs an iron bolt for his car, asks for a repair shop and some wise guy tells him to buy some gold instead of iron? Sri Gurudev always gave a devotee just what he asked for. ~ Those who had questions were rendered mute in Gurudevs august presence. Sometimes the question was answered even before it was asked, through a symbolic gesture or a cryptic word from Sri Gurudev. He spoke little, but whatever little he said was charged with a deep significance, which served the listener as food for deepest thought. Mostly he preferred to communicate with his eves. At times, however he made loving inquiries after the devotees comforts and they were touched by his solicitude. Gurudev occasionally used to give sweets or fruits to the devotees. Sri Gurudev mostly preferred not to talk. He did not preach or lecture, and yet his few words or speechless communications, or the commands he issued to his devotees by appearing in their dreams were far more effective than long-winded perorations. Though always residing in Kailas Nivas, HIS presence was felt all over. He himself used to say, Be calm; I am everywhere!” ~ Nityananda was never interested in attracting disciples or organizing an ashram. He was egoless in both words and actions. When pressed, he would say, This one is not flattered when important people come or sad when devotees leave. ~ Source: Bhagawan Nityananda by Swami Muktananda ~
