Bible thought for today Isaiah Chapter 6 verse 1 -3 1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphim’s: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. Notice how chapter 6 in Isaiah is beginning in the year that king Uzziah died. It was a terrible year as a great king who was rich powerful and famous was suddenly gone ..After a few days before a year could go by when the empire at that time was going down with lots of doubts about the future and one could see no hope coming Isaiah says I saw the lord. Today I don’t care what the situation is in one’s life things can change overnight if we can take time to seek the Lord at get a glimpse of the vision that Isaiah saw. Notice in next part of his vision causes a change of focus occurs where Isaiah sees from what is natural to that which is super natural. That is he sees God in his glory who is high and lifted up above all powers and kingdoms. Verse 2 says he saw the seraphs with 6 wings with 2 they cover their face with 2 they cover their feet and with 2 they fly saying one to another holy holy holy is the lord of hosts. Today’s believer s when they see each other have so many things to gossip and talk about except things what the lord has done and his holiness. Yet we all expect to be caught up one day to be in heaven in front of our blessed redeemer. Bible says God will ask each of us about what we have done on the earth hope at that time our hands will be strengthen when what the things we did including the secrets of our hearts will be revealed. This aspect makes me tremble will I be able to boldly stand before my creator and give a proper account of my life . The next part of the verse made me rejoice as the seraphs say the whole earth is full of his glory. Dear children of God are we always seeing the bad things taking place on the earth or do we have eyes to see the Glory of God on the earth. I think it’s a matter seeing things in a heavenly light. Yes we all have problems there is not one among us who does not have problems but we must be in a position to see God who is above our problems and then talk of his wonder and might and glory even in the midst of the problems of life. Why was the earth full of his glory it’s because God almighty was coming to visit the earth? This revelation caused great joy to Isaiah This message from the throne of God revealed to his servant Isaiah years before it took place that Christ was coming to the earth to redeem man from his sins This was the message of salvation Now if we note what he writes in chapters that follow are entirely different from the first 5 chapters His preaching changes from judgement to peace Do we see Christ or do we see our problems? We need peace of mind in our life before we preach to others .May the God of peace fill us with his divine presence . I end with this though Christian life is not a life without problem but a life filled with them but we have our God who created heaven and earth on our side to safely take us through our problems till we reach the other side..God bless you all
