Bids on Rusney Castillo are due today. I dont think the Giants should pay for this guy, not this much. Guy hasnt played anywhere in more than 1 year; hes never played in MLB competition, not even in the minors and hell likely cost well upwards of Puig money, which was 42 million for six years. Some figures, which I think are more correct than others suggest hell not consider signing for less than 65 million. Hell not settle for Puig money, which turned out to be a bonanza signing for the Dodgers. Even they know theyd need to spend more to get this guy. Puig set the floor, this guy now will reach for the ceiling. Puig now is proven, this guy isnt. Puig is a 5 tool player; Castillo isnt.
