Big Cup football Weekend & week ahead. Starting tomorrow morning my Backwell Athletic Junior FC under 11s are in the 3rd round Cup match V Clevedon United Juniors & both teams sit 2nd in there respected leagues this will be one junior grass roots football match to witness. My team have been training hard & gearing up for this match for the past few weeks. As there is no City Match until Sunday why not come along and help support my youth team at Backwell Recreational ground this Saturday 24th Jan (Tomorrow) & see how my team has developed as youth players. Kick off is at 10:30am and is 25 minutes each way hot drinks will be on sale before and during the match & we play on the sloped pitch in front of the changing rooms. We will be in our new team strip of green & black & you cant mistake us as our crest is similar to Barcelona. Then Sunday is the day when we hopefully see a giant killing in the FA Cup 3rd round between Bristol City V West Ham. The last these two sides met last season when both clubs were in the Championship & the game ended in a draw. The sports pundits and bookies have us as odds on to lose but this is a whole new City & a whole new season & prob one of the best seasons statistically on record so dont underestimate SCs MIGHTY ROBINS They wont be turning up on home soil to get another draw or to lose they will be there for the battle. This will deff be one for the cameras & media & fingers crossed a deserved win will be the iceing on the cake for such a hard fought season for Cotterills men. COYR CAF CTID...
