Billy and Chris have been searching for bad bugs on the kale, - TopicsExpress

Billy and Chris have been searching for bad bugs on the kale, broccoli, kohlrabi and other cole crops. They have them almost all covered with row cover now to keep the next batch of cabbage moths off. I transplanted another 500 heirloom tomato plants and Chris tried his hand at it and potted up 100 Roma tomatoes. I had fun showing off the baby pigs to several people. Everybody laughs at them. The alpacas in the front yard continue to draw attention as well. Folks love to feed them sow thistle flowers, of which I have an abundance! I didnt see any chickens where they werent supposed to be today, but I am going to finish putting up the deer netting anyway. We have to keep them out of the garden because they dig up everything, and nibble on plants too. I had just finished hilling up my potatoes with straw when a couple came along and scratched it all off looking for bugs underneath! Beasties! That was yesterday. Today is a new day!
