Bioneers is like having my mind blown constantly. Thats my favorite place to be. Being there as a representative of The Evolver Network is off the charts... were re-languaging our public presence and largely revamping our infrastructure, so I almost feel like Im waking up into a new iteration of the org, in a rich environment of designers, ecologists, artists, indigenous healers musicians and teachers, and organizations that will be close allies and partners as Evolver develops a way of collaborating with other international networks. I still stick out like a super freak, but thats ok. The level of communication possible with the people there is amazing. Grateful to synch up with the Bioneers community, and grateful for its creators. Im particularly excited about two new role models, Rose von Thater-Braan, a Tuscarora and Cherokee woman who was the director of education at UC Berkeleys Center for Particle Astrophysics (whut??!), and is co-founder and director of the Native American Academy, which makes native science and Indigenous learning processes visible in community, national and international forums.... silverbuffalo.org/NativeAmericanAcademy.html and Elizabeth Thompson who is the executive director of the Buckminster Fuller Institute and seems to be able to talk interdisciplinary systems design forwards and backwards. Im absorbing vocabulary like a sponge. Yum. Oh yeah! And during the forum on socially conscious business I came up with a whole set of characters for my art/photography/music/video projects! Ill write about those later. Happy design nerd. Ooh, and *then* I went to SudoRoom for the Oakland map jam to map local share economy places/businesses, and I learned how to edit localwiki (localwiki.org/), and about copy meism, which is an ethic of free information and sharing models that work - its an official religion in sweden, founded by pirates, arghh. SudoRoom thinks there should be a hackerspace (=community commons space) on every block! Sudo stand for super user do, a unix command that brings you to full admin access to your computer system. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missionary_Church_of_Kopimism . The final thing I will say in this ridiculous list is that org leaders keep telling me to connect them with the lawyer I find that can create an international cooperative. I think thats a good sign.
