Birth: May 9, 1922 Death: Feb. 18, 2000 HAGER, Carless Lee, 77, of 108 Hill Street, Narrows, died Friday morning, February 18, 2000 at his residence. He was born in Bland County on May 9, 1922 and was the son of the late Lake and Elsie Mae Burton Hager. He was a retired employee of the Celanese Company Plant at Narrows and at the time of his death, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Narrows. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Polly) Collins Hager, Narrows; a son and his wife, John and Kathy Hager, Tazewell, Va.; three daughters and their husbands, Erma Gay and Bill Bouldin, Dublin, Rowena and Tracy Clifton, Narrows, Darlene and John Gusler, Pembroke; a brother, Lake Edison Hager, Narrows; five sisters, Cleatis Burton, Alma Hale, Katherine Bowles, Dorothy Perdue, all of Narrows, Cora Leftwich, Glade Stone, Va.; grandchildren, Stephanie Collins, Alicia Thornton, Sherman Bouldin, Angela and Jerry Trenar, Katy and Melanie Clifton, Charlie, Chris, Raymond Gusler, Logan Hager; a stepgrandchild, Christopher Gusler; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Kimberly and Huntar. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 20, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Narrows with Rev. Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg.
